The book deals with characteristics of Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTD), track techniques and their various applications. Spark counting of track method and instrumentation are considered in detail. SSNTD applications in nuclear fission physics, radon measurements, neutron dosimetry and spectrometry, alpha-radiometry, isotope analysis and autoradiography are described. The author cites data of sets and systems on track method base having a wide distribution in Russia: the AIST-TRAL (etching and spark counting of tracks), Cordon-2 and Cordon-A (personal and room, neutron routine and accident dosimetry), DNESTR (neutron spectrometry), radon radiometry.
